St Helens Striders traces its roots to a group of ex-miners with a shared love of running and has grown to more than 200 members of all ages and abilities, billing itself as one of the most welcoming and inclusive clubs in the North West. The club trains every Monday and Wednesday at 7pm at various locations around St Helens, with multiple training groups so runners can work at the right level. Five England Athletics qualified coaches design the training, and every session is led by a coach or qualified run leader. Prospective members complete an enquiry form, try a session, and can then attend as a guest for up to a month before committing to membership.
Good to know
New runners must complete the club's enquiry form and arrange a trial session with the Club Secretary; after the trial you may attend as a guest for up to one month before joining and paying the membership fee.
