Kirkby Milers is an England Athletics-affiliated club that has grown from a small group of local runners into one of the area's premier clubs, describing itself as Knowsley's number one family athletics club and welcoming all abilities and disabilities. Coached adult track sessions run on Wednesday evenings at Kirkby High School with three pace groups from sub-22-minute 5k runners to beginners, and junior track and field training takes place on Fridays. Free Thursday evening social runs and walks leave from Cherryfield Drive car park in Kirkby town centre, with further free social runs on Sundays and early-morning weekday groups. Members compete in track, field, road and cross-country, and the club also runs a Couch to 5K programme starting February 2026.
