About Penny Lane Striders

Penny Lane Striders is one of Liverpool's largest and longest-established running clubs, with more than 300 members and a firmly no-elitism ethos. Road training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evening from Lifestyles Garston leisure centre, with runners split into six ability groups for hour-long sessions. The club also offers off-road and cross-country training, and members race everything from local parkruns to marathons. New runners can try up to three taster sessions before joining, making it a good fit for anyone from novices to seasoned club racers.

Good to know

Membership year runs April to March; new members can join at any time via the ConnectMyClub online form. Subscriptions more than six weeks in arrears result in automatic termination of membership. Reduced rates for retired members (state pension age), students and unemployed (£27.50) and second-claim members (£25).
